我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I heard great things about couch surfing from friends I've met on my travels. I feel it's a good way to experience the world from a locals perspective.

兴趣

At this time, I think one of my biggest interests would have to be waking up every day with the opportunity to go anywhere I like, whenever I like, taking in new sights and experiences along the way at my own pace. I guess put simply, my biggest interest right now is freedom! haha

Other interests would include:
Snowboarding, a bit of mountainbiking, and even hiking.. as long as there's a good view from the top ;)
Sitting around a campfire in the middle of nowhere, talking about tomorrow! I love to be surrounded by great scenery with great people.
I recently gained an appreciation for photography too, which gives me a good excuse to get outside and find those places to capture.
I play some guitar and also drum a little.

Thailand:
Beach football with Thai kids in the south of Koh Lanta
Barefoot rock climbing into lagoons near Railay
Playing guitar and helping with Thai friends 'Happy soup' food cart in the streets of Pai

Laos:
2 day slowboat from Thailand into Laos - Crazy night with guy from Laos in the little jungle town of Pakbeng halfway
4 days exploring the Thekek loop by motorbike, using paper cards as translations - Invited to a traditional wedding by the band, drinking singing and dancing with the family & friends

Vietnam:
Exploring the coasts and mountains by motorbike

Bali:
Climbing Mt Batur to watch the sunrise and exploring the island by scooter

Australia:
Camping through the red desert from Darwin to Adelaide in a jeep with friends
Building a campervan while traveling in it for 3 months from Adelaide to Cairns

Poland:
Hiking the High Tatras from Zakopane, Poland into Slovakia via Rysy and hitchhiking back in one day
Hitchhiking through Croatia and Bosnia & Hercegovina
