About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take a serious look into taking things less seriously

ABOUT ME

Where to start where to start....

Well I've just successfully ran the Academic Roulette and came out with a degree in geology. However I like to think of myself a little more exciting than a evening of rock picking.... maybe more like an evening of rock picking with a strobe light :P

I'm your average Libra. Not one for confrontation, I strive for harmony and will go out of my way to make sure everyone is happy. I love a great intellectual conversation.

I'm a passionate person with an open mind to everything. I believe life is only as good as the journeys you experience and the people you share those times with; not the size of your house or Television (But I can't complain if my friends have big TVs ;) )

I love people, every shape and form and cherish everything I can learn from each person I meet. I get a kick out of working with kids, they remind me that growing up can be so dull.

I'm new to CS, but I have much anticipation that it will help me find a better perspective of the world, and meet some great friends along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in karma and that every thought, word or actions you take is the manifestation of what we receive in the future. It may not be from some Fairy tallying your rights and wrongs and mailing it to the Pope or Santa clause to determine your next 5 year outcome. The reason to do good shouldn't be because your making sure karma's got your back, it should be because you want to do good.

Everyone has something to teach us, you just need to listen

There is no right or wrong, just a difference in perspective (unless of course It's Math, then I'm generally wrong)

Interests

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't listen to at least one of my favorite albums through. Music will always be part of my creative input as well as output. I play the Electric Bass as well as the Contra/Upright Bass (jazz and classical) since elementary school. I've been in garage bands since junior high and have done my fair share of gigs around Calgary. Bars, Auditoriums, streets, my buddies basement, you name it. If ya got an instrument, I say we jam, and then check out a music festival. Check it out http://www.myspace.com/sweetnessfollowsband

I enjoy drinking and to continue learning about Wine and I enjoying Cooking too (Cause chicks dig it...right?). Snowboarding, meditation, coffee, beer (flip cup!), foreign movies and obscure music.

I also love learning a new language. I think it shows much respect for the other culture if you even just attempt at speaking their tongue. I'm currently working on my Japanese... Hopefully they'll be impressed ;)
