About Me

Finishing high school and not doing anything good for myself last year, I decided to buy flights to Europe with the little money I had saved from my part time job at a burger joint. This was in September, before I had fully finished school and when I was still too young to get a working visa.

Now I'm here, preparing to go it alone, if you will, with the backpack my parents bought me and the small amount of money and resources I have acquired over the past few months. I have no itinerary, no return ticket, but a desire to see the world and all the lovely people who reside in it.

Now I myself reside in Hamburg, you need a place to stay? I'm sure we can work something out, just ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been told numerous times about the benefits of a global stage for essentially hitchhiking, something I love doing. I have found out now that by experiencing the lives of the people within each place I come to, I acquire a vast amount of fulfilment, gratitude and humbleness than if I were to sleep in a hostel and sight see by myself. Appreciate those who reside where you visit, for that place would not be so significant if those people were not there - a collective of people tolerant of anybody's lifestyle make a city.

It might be important to note that I have a one man tent, so if there's the assurance that I wont freeze overnight and that you have a lawn/backyard, I'd be more than happy to just chill there.

Interests

I have been unsure of my true interests for many years, but recently I discovered it is near impossible to pinpoint certain activities which truly define your character. So, my interests are merely creativity, education and kindness. My main expression of these is usually through music, something which I miss dearly right now as my guitar was left back in New Zealand. UPDATE : Eetu, you beautiful person! I now have a small SpongeBob guitar to jam my choons on so never fear for ye ears, I can now cheer for years and years!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll give anything a chance, but I'm primarily into anything not about the money. I do have what I think to be excellent music recommendations, or rather at least one band from multiple genres which come from my side of the world. It'll probably or hopefully be new for you; whatever floats your boat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I chased a duck with a broken wing. It ran away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm learning how to deal with waking up in strange places a lot of the time. It's fun but time consuming.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe happiness is only worth something when shared, but if you're looking for something slightly more material, I act as an excellent flatmate. In other words, I embrace any sort of culture on offer and will do anything to induce love, laughter and life, and I'll do the dishes too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, New Zealand
