A nature and science enthusiast who is currently deployed to McMurdo Station, Antarctica as part of the Antarctic Support Contract. Before coming to the bottom of the world, I was at the top of it - in Anchorage, Alaska.

When I'm not bouncing between places to call home, I'm writing, taking photographs, hiking, camping, and generally loving life.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

My good friend has been a couchsurfing host for a while and when we lived together, I loved meeting all the travelers! I'm excited to be a part of the community and explore the world as a surfer before settling down as a host.

Music: Love it all but I'm a sucker for bluegrass, folk, and the blues.

Movies: It's been a while since I watched movies- but I tend to love a good foreign or indie film.

Books: House of Leaves, Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Red Book, among others.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I've hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, gone camping in Antarctica, competed in Poetry Slam competitions, and worked on the Alaska Railroad... all of this since leaving my office job for a life of adventure!
