I am a young military wife with dreams to travel the world one day. I am about to start back up at school over at ODU and get my Bachelor in Biology. After that I plan on becoming a wildlife rehabilitator and just seeing where life takes me. I am originally from Florida. Born in Orlando and raised in the small town of Ocala (Yes that is the hometown of the band A Day to Remember) with my twin sister. In high school I did something different every year whether it be a sport or a club. That way I could get a little bit of everything there was, even if it is only a glimpse of what the world has to offer. I just wanted to try new things and I still do. I think that personality wise I am a very happy go bubbly person who can also get a little bit anxious. I've always been told that I am a big ball of everything. In general I am an extremely caring and helpful person. I recently moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia in December 2016.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As stated it is a dream of mine to travel one day, but you may be thing well that is a lot of peoples dreams. I know so cliche right? But do half of them ever really put in the effort to do research of finding the different methods there are to travel or give the reason as to why they want to travel. Some give the latter but most common is "to see the world". Well why do you want to see the world? "Um to take in the different sites and meet new people". Okay that is good and all especially meeting the new people part. But I want to experience the world, meet the people, learn from them and their culture. I want to gain things in life that I will value and use forever. Plus i've put in the time to do some research and that is how I came upon couchsurfing. I want to get the chance to take in the life of other people near or far while also helping out as much as I can in my own way, every way possible. Gain some give some, it's a way of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy almost any kind of music, but more commonly listen to hardcore punk, classical, rock, indie pop or alternative hip hop and even some christian music. Some of my favorite bands consist of Our Last Night, Beartooth, Panis at the Disco, Twenty one pilots, Elvis, Ron Pope, Ed Sheeran and Josh Wilson. It is hard to pick a favorite movie especially with all the ones that have came out and are to come out soon but if I absolutely had to pick I guess it would have to be "The Space Between Us". I will watch a lot of movies but my favorite ones to watch are the horror movies or romance movies. I am a huge book worm. I love books that take me on an adventure to a new world giving me mystery, excitement and romance . I think I especially love books that involve mythical creatures. I think my favorite book so far or more so series is "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children"by Ransom Riggs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not sure some people would consider this "amazing" but I do because it was something I did for some one I care insane amount for. My family hasn't always had it the easiest but we haven't had it the worst either. My mom is always putting my three sisters and myself before herself, before she even thinks about herself. Then again most moms would. Sometimes this would even include missing a meal or two just to make sure we (the children) had enough to eat. When I was younger I never thought much of it, until I got older and I started to realized and notice. I would get mad at her and purposely eat less so that she could eat more too. BUT that is not my amazing thing. Once I was old enough and got a job I obviously started helping my mom and the family financially. One year after we filed for income tax return and stuff I decided I am going to do something special for my mom. Her birthday is in February around the time we got our tax returns back. I used mine to take my mom and my sister on a trip to Disney World. Because to me my mom deserves the break and should be able to have fun as well instead of always worrying about work or us kids. I planned the whole trip and paid for everything. She was insanely happy and excited. That is one of my favorite amazing moments i've had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach (depending on where I end up) English. Then I can them about the schooling i've had. Like Biology may not seem like much but it is interesting. I know how to extract DNA from a strawberry. I can learn the way different families cooperate with one another, what each member does to contribute towards the home. I can learn about the culture and heritage of the family and even new skills I can carry with myself in life. I can share the joy in being surrounded by new people and experiences in life.
