About Me

Well...I am a longtime member but I haven't been very active recently. I did host more than surfing in the past but they are not registered to my account so you can't see them here.
I moved to the Netherlands in 2008 from Turkey and enjoying it since, except the crazy windy days.
I work fulltime for a small but amazing software company, working on Maps for businesses. During weekdays after work hours, I am mostly going to sports or binge watching tv show..but if I am hosting someone then I don't mind going out at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot, almost always with friends who live in different countries so it is usually without CSing, mostly because we are catching up as well. But I feel the need to travel alone as well and meet new people along the way.
I've met really nice people via CS and appreciate the experiences from those times. I did surf only once at someone's place and the local experience was such a fresh breeze I can't wait to do that again. Somehow I seem to be a bit late on making requests to stay at somebody' s place :).
I also like hosting people, the experience has so far been very good and also I like helping on avoiding Hotels and the mentality of it. The idea of "trusting, welcoming others" is the biggest motive here.

Interests

Music, movies, Japanese culture (anime, manga included ofc :) ), meeting people, going out, computer games...pretty standard stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did Aikido for 4 years up to 2nd kyu...The amazing part is that, I survived a class where I had to handle 15 kids of ages between 6 and 10. It was a last minute and the Sensei was sick...for someone who had never given a training before, I managed to keep them interested and in order (slightly).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Viet Nam
