I am Kali. I am originally from a small mining town in Nevada, USA. I will always feel at home in the high desert of Nevada, but I find myself feeling at home whenever I am on planet Earth. :) I recently quit my job as a teacher, sold my car, and embarked on a backpacking journey through Europe, Thailand, and India (Currently in Europe). I have a free spirit with an open heart and mind, and enjoy meeting new people and having authentic traveling experiences. I find magic in the mundane, and believe in the beauty of dreams! I am a yoga teacher, writer, astrologer, and podcast producer.

Soy Kali. Originalmente soy de un pueblito minero en Nevada, USA. El desierto alto de Nevada siempre me sentirá hogar, aunque me encuentra cómodo por cualquier parte del mundo. Recientemente, me dejé mi trabajo de maestra, vendí mi coche, y salí por un viaje mochilera tras Europa, Thailandia, y India (ahora estoy en España). Tengo un alma libre con corazón y menté abiertas, me disfruta conocer gente nueva y tener experiencias viajando auténtica. Encuentro magia en la cotidiana, y creo en la belleza de los sueños. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and exploring diverse cultures, perspectives and human stories. I mean, In the end, aren’t we all stories waiting to be heard? One of my favorite things about traveling is connecting with people and having deep, soulful conversations.

I also need a place to sleep, and enjoy time to myself. So if you are more introverted and would rather not talk much, that is cool too. :)

Me encanta conocer gente nueva y explorar culturas, perspectivas, y historias humanas diversas. En fin- cada uno de nosotros son historias esperando un voz ¿si? Uno de mis cosas preferidas de viajar es conectando con gente y tener conversaciones profundo del alma.

También necesito un lugar dormir, y disfruta tiempo a mi misma. Entonces, si estás más introvertida y prefiero no
hablar tanto, está guay también. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Three of my favorite books are: The Artist Way, The Four Agreements, and The Celestine Prophecy.

My favorite movie is the Sound of Music.

My two favorite authors are Jodi Picoult and Elizabeth Gilbert. I love how Jodi Picoult beautifully weaves together stories on complex topics. Her writing is masterful and crafted with deep perspective, understanding and empathy. I admire her complexity and intricacy. Elizabeth Gilbert is simply inspiring, fun to read, and fuels my dreams!
