About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Martial arts pilgrimage / Learn as many languages as I can

ABOUT ME

Currently living in Ho Chi Minh City where I teach yoga and do comedy...

Used to evade flying helmets and crazy drivers in Hanoi!

If I could make up my own career, it'd be one where I can do a lot of travelling, take a lot of pictures, do a lot of martial arts, write a lot of poems, books and blogs and touch a lot of people's lives.

I'm a Jack of all trades and a master of none. I like trying out, learning and doing new things. I try to aim for mastery but there are just so many things one can do and accomplish in this world and so little time, it's so difficult to just stick to one thing and not have time for other things.

I'm a Roman Catholic on paper and a Wiccan in heart. I hate being limited by dogma. I love the freedom given by the Universe. I believe that the future is within your control but I also believe that guidance can be found in the signs that the Universe gives us either through gut feel or tarot cards...

I don't believe in coincidence or chance encounters. I believe in synchronicity. Everything and everyone that comes in your life has a purpose. You meet someone because you have something to learn from them or something that you need to accomplish with them.

PHILOSOPHY

True victory is the mastery of one's mind.

Suffering is optional.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm definitely up for meeting you... And, yes, I've been in Hanoi for almost two years now, so I can definitely give advice to fellow couchsurfers so that they don't get ripped off (which sometimes happens here)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing Things I've Done:

Getting a gold medal in Judo despite the fact that I was told I can no longer do martial arts after a horrible accident.

Getting a gold medal in wrestling despite the fact that I've got a rib injury.

Firing a 9mm Jericho and a 22mm Walther.

Getting a good job in Hanoi despite receiving a lot of rejections because of my ethnicity.

Amazing Things I've Seen:

A man riding a motorcycle with tons of kegs behind him.

A car leaving a parking lot, going straight for me and my ex, missing us and banging on a post.

Two-year-olds learning their first English words from me.

A helmet whizzing pass my head and hitting someone else -- Hanoi, Vietnam, baby! That's where the excitement is!
