Walk big, talk small
ABOUT ME
I'm a proud Cal Bear who has worked for two years in a public utility in California. The last year of work focused exclusively on renewable electricity analysis and renewable resource development. I am passionate about energy, economics, and the sustainability of these systems.
I am about to travel to Ecuador and the Galapagos for six weeks before going to grad school in California.
PHILOSOPHY
"I want to be impressed by you and see our violent paths collide."
-Man Man
"Later, Feather Mae renounced all religion that was not based on the experience of physical ecstasy... near the end of her life she loved walking nude about her yard and worshiped only the sun."
-Alice Walker, Meridian
"In the beginning there was a river. The river became a road and the road branched out to the whole world. And because the road was once a river, it was always hungry."
-Ben Okri, The Famished Road
"Travel, trouble, music, art,
A kiss, a frock, a rhyme –
I never said they feed my heart
But still, they pass my time."
-Dorothy Parker
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have not participated - yet. I hope to make some friends in Ecuador via couch-surfing, after receiving great recommendations from friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The closest I've come to couch-surfing is my history of moving into strange houses. I have never lived with my friends - only strangers with an empty room. I have made a lot of excellent friends this way (and some enemies too- of course! ha). I have lived in four random houses in the last six years. They went as follows: 10 ppl, 12 ppl, 12 ppl, 5 ppl.
Interests
Energy, economics, the environment, being outdoors (camping /biking /rafting), the ocean (swimming /boogie boarding /scuba diving /snorkeling), cafes, coffee and good food, long-winded conversations, laughter. Oh, and beer- microbrews in particular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran with the crowd after gunshots rang out at a street party in San Francisco.
I once visited a farm full of wind turbines, which was a near religious experience.
