To take advantage of my base of operations (London) and visit as many European destinations as possible.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Canadian! I speak English and French, though the former far, far, far better than the latter (though my French isn't necessarily too shabby).

Currently living and working in London, England.

I'm here to make friends from all sorts of different places, so feel free to drop me an e-mail, even if you aren't planning a trip to London, or I'm not planning a trip to your part of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not so big on personal philosophies. After all, if personal philosophies were really a hot commodity, there wouldn't be a need for professional philosophers, now would there?

And can you imagine a world without professional philosophers? I thought not.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've now Couchsurfed twice, and both times were fantastic -- it's wonderful!

Interests

So many! Main interests: Fencing, foil, fencing, epee, fencing, sabre, fencing and foil.

Additionally, music, movies, reading, skiing, hiking, walking, taking photographs, beer, bars, pubs, dancing, hair gel, languages (not that I'm good with them, mind you), rollerblading, skating, hockey, running, puzzles, and spending too much time on the internet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips, Frank Zappa, Ween, Pavement, and Sufjan Stevens, for starters. Listing everything I like would take far too much time, though. I seem to enjoy almost all music, with a slight preference towards rocky, catchy and weird.
Movies: My favourite movie is Being John Malkovich ... I tend to enjoy strange movies, complex movies and funny movies.
Books: I love books ... I seem to enjoy plot over actual writing craft (though I do appreciate the latter, and it takes quite the plot to get me to ignore poor writing), and novels with numerous plot twists tend to be my favourites. I also have a strong appetite for non-fiction.
