ABOUT ME

I enjoy my life!
I love my jobs, and all the time I meet with other people for cultural reasons or for going out with my wife or with friends. According to my cultural interests, I love drawing and painting a lot and I do play the guitar and like to sing along. If you do so too - perfect!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to find out what I need to be happy.
What I really need is not expensive: friends, ideas, integrity, developing myself and the world around me...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because I'm very buisy it will not be easy to find time for showing people around. But sometimes I spend hy holidays at home - these times would fit perfectly!

I'm completely new in the scene!

Interests

I love my work: I teach kids about contraception, I counsle women and families about pregnancy and I work in certain projects for a social sciences institute.
In my leasure time I prefer being creative: playing Guitar, singing, drawing, painting, shooting photos, writing poems or songs, sometimes acting,... ah! and cooking!
But also without doing anything like this I often meet with friends.
Additionally I love nearly all kinds of music, except classical music. I love movies and my favourite writers are Nick Hornby and Ken Follett.
I also love hiking at the countryside - we have a beautiful area near my city called "Fraenkische Schweiz" which I like to visit.
Actually I start volunteering in a YMCA that builds up contact to people from other countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My biography is formed among other things by christian people. But culture in this scene always bored me. I had a dream to open a pub where I can enrich that scene in a cultural way. 2007 I was honoured to support a local YMCA to open a pub that supports local artists and since then they give me rooms for an initiative I founded for free-time-artists. The first Jazz concert in this pub was a fantastic experience, feeling a dream coming true. Also the first big exhibition of my arts initiative on the famous "blue night of nuernberg" was very similar.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could share thoughts about social sciences and about being creative, maybe a bit about philosophy and religion.

I myself am keen on anything about other culutres.
