Overview
About Me
I'll never be known for my amazing productivity. That's for sure. Occasionally I happen to do things though, and most often I enjoy it.
Last years I've been leading a (mostly) quiet life on the Swedish countryside. Since a year back my main occupation is leather crafts. I also play recorder in a folkmusic band and working on a novel which might some day be completed. I intend to have it finished. But I can't quite convince myself that that's enough.
If I'm not known for being an uncompromising enthusiast with limitless energy, I could be known for being an accepting man. I like people, and people tend to like me. I like a good conversation, a nice jam session. I like strolling in the forest. I like making things. I like adventures. I like a lot of things actually.
I have a quite rational mind without being shut off from feelings and what is around me. I like the world. I think it'll be fine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been on couchsurfing a decade now and had a lot of benefits from this community. Not only surfing and hosting, but also cs-meetings, parties, forums and so on.
Been surfing in India, Iran, Armenia and a good deal of western Europe.
Been hosting mainly in and around my hometown Linköping.
Interests
I'm at the moment trying to write a novel.
I'm also notoriously starting new instruments. Last two years I've spent time with the recorder (flute). I very seldom had the motivation to carry around a guitar while traveling, but a recorder can be carried at all times. I'm in a folk music group, playing mostly nordic folk music.
Traveling of course. Why? It's ultimate spontaneity, which I guess in some sense is ultimate freedom. Actually traveling is not really the right word for it. Moving might better explain my feeling towards it. That could be both physically and mentally. Restless? Perhaps.
People. What makes a person. What makes a persons view on the world. What makes a persons world. What makes a group of peoples mutual world. People are interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books
Recent books I read and liked:
Catcher in the rye, The man in the high castle, Asfalt - Ivar Lo Johansson, The Idiot
I don't watch a lot of movies. I don't mind, I just don't get around to do it.
Music I listen to recently: Jazz like Duke Ellington, Chet Baker, Miles Davis. Reggae like The Congos, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Burning Spear. Other stuff like Mulatu Astatke.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking Teheran to Berlin
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always up for practicing my german.
I myself have experience working as a guitar teacher. Know some other instruments too fairly well.
I have quite a lot to say about time. Also about hitch-hiking..
Writing. Writing together. Reading. Talking about it.
