ABOUT ME
All about me? Well, the task to answer this "question" provokes a wide smile in my face. Mmmmhhh...pretty difficult - I will stick to the main physical facts (as I can prove them scientifically) and then try to give an overview on the basic mental facts.
185cm (6' - 0 8/10"), brown hair and eyes, neither big nor skinny.
I am pretty open-minded and always trying to be friendly and fair. I like sports, both watching (soccer (VFB Stuttgart-supporter) and practicing it (soccer, judo, beachvolleyball, biking)).
If you get to know me better, you will realize that I am one of those folks you'd call "buena gente" in Spanish. At least, that's what I hope.
PHILOSOPHY
Neither starts the day when the sun rises nor does it end when it sets. Catching days won't help anyway. Catching minutes, seconds and moments ist the key to see the values of life. Every second can be worth a whole life. If you succeed to catch several good ones, you will be able to repeatedly justify your own existence and estimate the meaning of its historical dimension for yourself. (update2013: blablabla :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined the CS-project out of the convincing sounding idea that it is one of those supreme examples for the world of how easy (or complicated) and nice it can be to find a way of meeting and getting along with people from all over the globe on a quite intimate level. I want to be part of this, enjoy it and help others enjoy it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I lived next door to my sisters' place. (Some - especially she - would say I actually lived with her at her place because mine was quite run down and cold). She had been a CS member for several months and told me she had made great experiences c-surfing in Spain. After a while, she (or we) had already hosted several CSers, so I decided that to create my own account to be able to host and visit people as well and on my own. Since this step towarsd independence I've seen quite a lot of appartments from the inside as well as nice strangers lingering through my holy four walls.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some say, that if you like anything, you lack taste. I say I enjoy the ability to like and see the details and any kind of quality in books, films and songs of many different styles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"Amazing" sounds exaggerated; however, during my social year (instead of military service), I assited a 100% blind-born 15-year-old at a normal high-school. I won him as a friend and we have stayed in touch since.
Assisting him was an experience that deeply changed my ways of thinking and helped me to learn and to realize that we all perceive the world differently and that giving eventually produces happiness whereas receiving may rarely be of a sustainable nature.
Teach, Learn, Share
teach: modesty and being tolerant even with intolerant and "bad" people.
learn: you will teach me what there is to learn!
share: all my common knowledge about whatsoever with all your common knowledge about whatsoever.
