About Me

I’m a bit of a geek and a fantasy enthusiast, a designer and photographer, and recently I’ve started taking part in LARP games—which also inspired my wish to travel more. I’m a creative soul: I’ve worked on game development, taken part in film productions as a director of photography, and carried out many artistic projects.

I like to romanticize life. I’ve worked as a barista (and discovered the art of real coffee) and as a waiter in restaurants, with a background in cooking as well. I once studied Arts at university and I’ve always loved crafts—blacksmithing, glass, ceramics, wood—everything that can be made by hand.

I’m passionate about photography and digital art, and always curious to create and share new stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I really enjoy meeting new people while traveling. For me, it’s not just about visiting places, but also about discovering different cultures through personal connections, sharing stories, and exchanging experiences. I also love the idea of sharing a bit of my own culture in return, creating memories that go beyond the trip itself.

Music, Movies, and Books

It makes me very sad to say this, but since childhood I haven’t liked reading. My parents used to force me, so now, when there are so many amazing movie masterpieces made from those books—films I’ve been watching since I was little, like The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter—I sometimes catch myself thinking: what if I just take and read them? But if I read, then only in the original. And for such powerful works as The Silmarillion, regular English is not enough. That’s why, along with building discipline for reading, I’m also improving my English level! In general, I really enjoy romantic movies, historical ones, and fantasy. It was actually thanks to the series Outlander that I got the idea to visit Scotland!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, while working in a tourist park designed to recreate Viking times, I was in charge of the place, sometimes entertaining visitors as a blacksmith, forging swords and axes. One day I helped a sheep living in the park to give birth, which led to the arrival of her little lamb. It was truly wonderful, because I could feel the miracle of a new life being born. When you create something from iron, wood, or clay, you put a piece of your soul into it, but when a living creature is born, it feels as if it comes into this world already with its own soul—and that is magical, beyond words.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook a few Michelin-style dishes! Because I have cooking experience and, overall, I just love to cook.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don’t think I’ll be able to be useful or share anything practical during my short stay with you, apart from helping with cooking, but as an option I could take professional photos for you!
