Hey there!
My name is Kalya, I am an adventurer from Kiwi-land (New Zealand) and I am so excited to uncover what this journey holds.

A little bit about me-

I am a life lover, food creator, massage giver, hill hiker, and am following the whispers of my soul around the globe-
up for anything vibrant and from the heart.

I would say I am a fairly balanced person and love to soak up every aspect of life. whether that be the energy of adventure and expansion, or the joy of slowness and introspection.
I can appreciate most dualities and am an embodiment of that. I would describe myself as adaptable, adventurous, intentional, playful, warm, grounded and present.

I have a calm, compassionate energy so even though I have no professional training I have a natural affinity for conflict resolution and believe in open, honest communication at all times.

My other passions in life are photography, hospitality, nature, community, herbalism and adventure.

I love children and animals and would be happy to stay with them.

I am not a smoker, I don't drink really (perhaps a glass of red wine a couple times a year while cooking) and in general believe in a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am travelling around South and Central America from October-Dec 2019, and I would love to meet some likeminded, open people along my way.

I am a personal organic plant-based chef and caterer in Australia where I live, I can cook for you!
I am resourceful and creative, I love food and offering nourishment of mind body and soul to my community.
I also have a massage studio where I practice my own modality of massage and energy-work. It is a beautiful union of aromatherpy, remedial massage, energy attunement and intuitive touch.
