Overview
About Me
I am a creative and friendly, free spirit (sort of like Casper, although not quite as pasty)
I want to spend my life having grand adventures and making new friends. In my opinion a life well lived consists of near constant personal growth and the acquisition of wisdom. Whoever has the best stories at the end, wins!
I've been in the service industry for close to 15 years and I appreciate the flexibility restaurant life offers. Additionally restaurant humans are generally pretty fun and social... Like me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to see the world and make new friends in the process!
Interests
Currently, I'm learning to play the piano, whittle, and build furniture. I'm also into aerial yoga and acrobatics. Basically, I want all the hobbies.
I'm happiest when I'm singing or acting. I am an all-natural, free range, HAM!
I enjoy listening to podcasts (Radio Lab and This American Life are among my favorites) with a glass of delicious wine on my nightstand.... And chocolate. I'm definitely very interested in chocolate.
I love to cook and am an adventurous eater! I'll try anything once! Sea cucumber was a pleasent surprise.
I love ellipses and exclamation points and use them with gusto!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like music from almost all genres. Some of my favorite artists include: Bonnie Raitt, The Cranberries, Bob Dylan, Modest Mouse, Galactic, The Growlers, Allison Krauss, Janis Joplin, Prince, Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple... Basically any female vocalist who possesses the ability to turn pain into art.
I love documentaries the VICE series is amazing but I max out at three episodes to avoid throwing myself off a cliff. I love anything by the Cohen Brothers, and most of the films by Wes Anderson. My favorite 80s movie is probably Blade Runner i made a pretty rad Pris a few Halloweens ago.
Some of my favorite books include: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Welcome to the Monkey House (love me some Vonnegut and Richard Brautigan) In Watermelon Sugar, A Confederate General from Big Sur, Geek Love, Great Expectations, East of Eden (basically all Steinbeck) and All the Pretty Horses. There are many more, but you get the idea.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I scored over 600 points in a scrabble match with my grandmother when I was 12. Is that amazing? This section is tough.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you how to play poker, make a proper roux and a killer martini. I'm a decent pool player, and a damn good cook. I know a little about a lot and a lot about a little. I can carry on a conversation with almost anyone.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe in the sanctity of home. I am a respectful and courteous guest.
