ABOUT ME

I'm a college student who caught the travel bug during my gap year, and I'm trying to continue traveling as much as possible. I love getting lost in new cities and laughing at my mistakes with my friends. I drink more tea than some drink water, and one of my favorite adventures is trying a new cuisine. I'm curious, open-minded, and easy-going. I took a gap year before college to intern on a political campaign and study abroad in Bolivia. I have an insatiable curiosity about the world, so I love to travel, especially when I can find a local perspective. I'm currently doing the college thing, studying International Affairs in order to fulfill some of my wanderlust while at school.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm not able to host, since I'm a broke college student living in a dorm, but I'm always appreciative of being hosted!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed once so far and loved every minute. My friends and I couchsurfed in Paris this summer and had a wonderful experience, so I can't wait to try it again.

I love nearly everything I've read, especially The English Patient. Other favorites include Shadow of the Wind, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, The Alchemist, Ishmael, The Glass Castle, Room With a View, all Austen, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, and Rebecca.

My musical taste varies daily, but right now I'm loving nearly everything country, but also artists like Bastille, Alt-J, Paolo Nutini, Passion Pit, Matt and Kim, Fleet Foxes, Young the Giant, City and Colour, Bon Iver, Dispatch, State Radio, Ellie Goulding, The Frames, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Jay Brannan, The Lumineers, MIKA, The Naked and Famous, Ray LaMontagne, the xx, Metric, Good Old War, Half Moon Run, amongst many more.

And I honestly can't say I have any really favorite movies. It completely depends on my mood!

Hiking through the Cordillera Real in Bolivia, outside of La Paz, and traversing 16,000ft passes and incredible canyons in the same trek, while passing through tiny towns still rich in the local culture.
