About Me

hello, i’m Kamala, a 23-year-old international student in Germany. i have a passion for traveling and exploring new cultures. i’m an easy-going and quiet person who enjoys meeting new people and sharing experiences

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i’m here because i think the best way to experience a place is through its people. whenever i’ve traveled, i’ve had the chance to discover hidden gems that i’d never find through internet - usually thanks to local recommendations. those little spots often end up being the coolest experiences. i like the idea of connecting with locals, sharing stories, and learning from each other.
also
as a student, traveling can sometimes feel expensive, but couchsurfing makes it more doable. i also enjoy meeting new people along the way, and i think discovering places together creates memories that stay with you.

Music, Movies, and Books

i’m a big fan of lana del rey. i enjoy exploring different genres, but lana’s music holds a special place in my heart. lately, i haven’t felt like watching anything new, so i’ve been sticking to my comfort shows. my all-time favorite is friends, but i also love the big bang theory and how i met your mother. when it comes to movies, some of my favorites are inception, grand budapest hotel, and amélie. i’m always up for a good drama, indie film, or anything with a unique storyline. for books, i enjoy reading a variety of genres, from classic literature to contemporary fiction. some of my favorites are 1984 by george orwell, catcher in the rye by salinger, and norwegian wood by murakami.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

participating in a volunteer project in thailand,
also i should add that; leaving my home country to study abroad and moving to germany

What I Can Share with Hosts

with my hosts, i can share engaging conversations about travel, economics, and my culture and other cultural experiences. i usually enjoy cooking, so i’d love to prepare a meal or share some recipes from my home country. i can also help with language practice, particularly in english, turkish
