Make the most of a year off from studying before returning to university to study to become a teacher. Improve my italian so I can teach it with a little more confidence!

Im an English 23 year old, Fun loving and always up for meeting new people! Love everything about Italy, it's food, it's weather, it's people its laid back lifestyle. I've spent lots of time in Italy and my favourite part of visiting it is to meet the amazing locals who I always find so open, friendly and willing to help and welcome me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in Bastia in Corsica for 8 months to study French and while I was there I lived with an amazing woman, who opened up her home to couch surfers allllll the time, so I got to see from her what an amazing experience it could be and got to meet so many people from all over the world. There was always an international party atmosphere in the flat and I learnt so much from every person that came through our door during those 8 months, all the stories and the places they had been! Thanks to this I then started surfing myself. I travelled all around Italy, for 2 weeks staying in some great Italians' home. I've had one negative experience, with someone who had obviously confused couchsurfing for "match.com" but I think on the whole it's an amazing experience and for every one person who tries to abuse it, there are 99 who host for the right reasons!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Iguazu falls in Argentina was stunning. Trekking through the Andes. Canoeing for 5 days up the river between Paraguay and Argentina and arriving at the point where the river splits Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina and watching the sun set behind this point. Having a saree made to measure in a market in Madurai, India.
