ABOUT ME | I have slept under the stars guarding horses on the Mongolian steppes. and a bomb shelter in Switzerland once served as my home for a week during a Ywam school that I did. as my life has unfolded, I have had the pleasure of getting to spend time with communities and families in a small number of countries across the globe.

although I’m an introvert, I am very fond of people. plus, being a writer and an enthusiast photographer, to my artist’s eye the earth is rich with poetry, and we are poems of the Divine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

to experience places from a local’s point of view. and to give others a local’s experience of my city.

Interests

olives and polka dots are – to borrow a line from that famous musical – a few of my favourite things.

I sing (in the shower and for friends), play the guitar and can concoct a mean poem when inspiration seizes me.

my legs are seasoned for hiking, but I prefer slow walks, art galleries, the sound of the sea, as well as live gigs and the theatre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

visited Mongolia. from the vast skies of the Gobi to the yaks of the plains, not to mention the friendly locals and their horse-milk: what an enchanting land.
