Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Research German history, expand an international activist network, meet cool people
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty easy going, I like to meet new people and learn from them. I'm a PhD student and socialist activist in New York City since 2011, and I make periodic trips to Berlin for research and fun. I love talking politics over beers, or learning about local histories in the cities I visit.
PHILOSOPHY
Nächstenliebe
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like the idea of offering and utilizing a large accommodation network outside of the commercial space. I view these kinds of opportunities as essential building blocks toward a cooperative fraternal human bond within society as a whole.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've traveled around Germany a bit in 2009-2010, and I hosted once in Munich when I lived there. I had a great experience every time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited Dachau concentration camp several times, what a sobering experience
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to talk about the political situation in the United States, the state of academic labor unions, or European politics. On that last one I have much more to learn than, so I am always up for any insight there. Otherwise hm, I can offer some Bavarian beer knowledge (probably useless to Germans), lots of fitness information and tips, just ask!
