About Me

I am usually a bit quiet when I first meet people but once I gain confidence I am hard to keep silent :)! I love meeting new people from all over the world. I am a tenaciously curious person. I also love immersing myself fully in the culture of where I am visiting and try my best to "blend in" and learn the local language, customs, and try all the local delicacies. I am very outdoorsy and live a very active lifestyle here in Miami. I love learning about culture and history, so I "nerd out" at museums and cultural events. Traveling and constantly learning and absorbing new things are one of my biggest passions. For this, I must thank my parents, who always encouraged my sister and I to get out there and explore the world with an open mind and to always try to give back somehow!

I am also extremely passionate about architecture and architecture design. What I love about architecture is that you are very much an artist as you are a researcher (a designer as much as a scientist). I also love that we have the privilege and the responsibility to positively impact people's everyday lives. I want to create architecture that engages the community in an inclusive way. I want to create projects that promote social interaction and social urbanism through all of my future projects. I also yearn to push the boundaries of the architecture profession. I want to explore other disciplines which more and more have to do with architecture every day. I also strongly believe in the power of design thinking and want to find integrated solutions for today and tomorrow's challenges through (architecture) design and creativity!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I Googled .... "how to become a polyglot asap", and one of the things a lot of people were saying, along with reading the same book but in different languages etc, was to host couch surfers as this can constantly get you to meet people from all over. Thought I'd give it a try, I had heard about this from some friends previously and they had all positive things to say of their experiences!
