Hey! I am Juan Carlos-but most people back home called me canche (yep, that's my nickname). I was born in Silver Spring, Maryland but my mother took me when I was a baby back to Guatemala where I raised. .

My cousin told me about his amazing experiences hosting and meeting people from all over the world. I got inspired and ended up hosting several travelers myself.

Ran a 10 kilometers race,
Swan in an ice pool for 2 minutes.
Pulled an all nighter reading: World without end from Ken Follet, until I finished it.
Once traveled to Washington D.C. just for a job interview.
