About Me
Hello every curious traveller~
My name is Kamila but friends call me Katsu, though you can use whetever sounds better to you. I'm 20 years old, student, vegetarian. I'm very outgoing and I befriend people easily. I'm very open-minded and the only thing I really dislike in others is not thinking outside of the box, being in this world only for themselves.
Last year I got enrolled into university (oldest in Poland, yeah~~) and I'm dilligently studing Far East Asia Studies with specialization Japan.
I also worked as a barista for two years and I'm still assosiated with youth magizine called "RedakcjaBB" (you can check us out, we also write in English and there's my profile there as well). My main interests are people, civil rights, destroying obstacles that prevent people (myself including) from gainig happiness in life. Of course Far East as well. I'm a liberal and believe in equality of all people.
I like reading good books (and by good I mean ones that will make you think twice afterwards before doing sth with your life), low-cost travelling, museums (I may not understand art or know a lot about it but that does not prevent me from enjoing it), camping with friends, good coffee from dripper V60, reportage, vegetarian cuisine and learning. You may say I'm a nerd and I'd thank you!
I've been to few European countries but my aspirations for travelling are much muchwider.
I know a lot about my city (Bielsko-Biała) which is not far away from Katowice or Cracow and I can easily show you around every interesting place that no one else would know. Also if there's anything interesting in my city for 99% I'll be organising it/know the organisators/participate in it.
If you want to see Cracow I know few good places and rest we can explore together!
I know what I want to experience in life and I want to share my love to the world with others :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to meet amazing people who will share their thoughts, experiences and dreams with me!
In September I'm visiting Japan for the second time! togehter with mum beloved mum and friend from uni! It was really on spot decision but here we are, booking flights hotels, deciding on what to see, where to go and I do hope we'll be able to meet some of you! :D
In not so distant future I also plan to visit Georgia. At first I planned to do this after graduation but I had a problem with my health so I had to postpone it... It was an abrupt plan proposed to my by my friend who travels a lot and my mum decided to tag along. We wanted to experience the real vibe of Georgia and I hope we'll be able to do that soon!
Interests
Sightseeing, culture, history, language. When coming to a new place I want to know everything and breathe in the aura of my surrondings.
National holidays, traditions, local believes, superstitions, language and dialects are things that are enormously absorbing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My previous profile photo. I'm doing duckface with Traveller of the year 2014 by National Geographic (he proposed it) and later we ate pizza.
I've participated in a fire show! I love fire dancing and manipulating sticks (however it sounds) and poi! One of my biggest loves are fire shows and the amazing vibe that comes along with them!
But I like to believe that life itself is amazing and I cherish everyday! For me every single andventure I have is amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
Vegan cuisine, knowledge about my city, region I live in and tour around cities such as Cracow or Warsaw :)
I can also teach a bit of fire dancing (not with fire for begginers of course but lessons of manipulating poi or stick in the garden are always fun!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Delicious sweets brought from Poland of course but a lot of positive energy and stories that can lighten up every gathering. I'm told to be a good teller while I'm not a bad listener either! I would also love to cook something for you!
