About Me

ABOUT ME

I've graduated from the University some time ago, and now I'm kind of trying to come up with some ideas as to what to do next. Keeping busy while doing so.

I'm the master of procrastination unless we're talking about stuff I'm passionate about. If you like to have a quiet evening with me don'f get me start about books, classic movies nor tv series or I will never shut up.
I love exchanging ideas and points of views. Even when we disagree on pretty much everything, please keep in mind that I still respect your views, please, return the sentiment.

PHILOSOPHY

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do."
Mark Twain

"For of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these, "It might have been!"
John Greenleaf Whittier

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've started close to 8 years ago and I've been both a host and traveling using CS. This account is pretty bare so you can check out the account below for more information.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have a previous Couchsurfing experience, so please check out this profile: http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/katarzynka/
I was hosting travelers with my roommates then. We only did this for 10 months, but had load of fun and met great people.

Interests

-books (I will read everyting)
-different cultures (because of my studies, in addition I'm some myths-loving psycho)
-food (cause you cannot know a culture without trying it's cuisine)

...and of course traveling, but to be truthful, moderate. I love to travel and see new places, but don't see myself living on a backpack for the rest of my life. For now at least.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: everything that has letters inside ;>.
Kapuściński, Marquez, Pratchett, Eco (who's my imaginary grandfather no 1, I love that guy), Allende. Books about traveling and other cultures. Little less interested in biographies.

Movies: those by Frank Capra always makes me laugh. And O! How much do I love movies connected with food as life pleasure. So I love:
Chocolate, Gosford Park (watching it at least once per 2 months), Como agua para chocolate, Babette's feast, It's Complicated,
other than that: Rain Man, Usual Suspects, As good as it gets, Room with a View, Girl Interrupted, La Strada

Music: '60-'80 music has it's unique charm. But was never a fan of a particular band. I have a weak spot for Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Nigel Kennedy, Beatles, Queen, Doors. Recently I'm torturing my roommates with Zepps.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I generally enjoyed my time in South Korea, even the learning experience ;>.
In addition Cappadocia region was one of most beautiful places I've seen. All nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll be more than happy to share the things I know with you. I could teach you Polish, maybe some Korean, Polish history (that was the subject in school I was the best at).
Maybe let's just talk first, we'll see what we've learned.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll gladly tell you about Polish customs, I do like chatting about common places we've been to or learning about your experiences.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
