About Me

Hello! I'm a music teacher and I live and work in Buffalo, NY. I direct a community chorus and children's theater during the summer. I love to travel and I love the outdoors.

I'm laid-back and open-minded. I always try to see the best in people. I try to live my life to the fullest each day and bring a positive attitude into everything I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started Couchsurfing in 2011: A friend and I traveled from Pennsylvania to Maine and stayed with three different hosts along the way. We loved that experience and still reminisce about it often. After that trip I became a huge fan of Couchsurfing and I wanted to surf and host as much as possible. I did surf and host a bit more but then life got busy, I had to move a couple times for work, and I didn't end up participating in Couchsurfing as much as I would have liked. Well, my life is finally a little more stable now and I'm ready to have some more fun traveling experiences and help others do the same!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love movies but I don't have a favorite

Music: Mostly into alternative, indie, pop/rock. Also into 60s, Motown, and some classic rock.

Books: Walden by Thoreau, Big Magic, Wherever You Go There You Are, The War of Art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in grad school my choir toured England, Wales, and Ireland. I loved every second of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I am a music teacher by profession. So when it comes to singing, or playing guitar, I can help you out with that.

Learn: Some things I want to get more experience with are rock climbing, kayaking, riding a motorcycle, learning how to play other instruments (accordion, banjo, drums, mandolin), learning new languages

Share: I love to tell people about the places I've been throughout my life and what I've learned along the way. I also love sharing my music with people who are willing to listen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I'm traveling, I really enjoy spending time with my hosts, so I guess what I can "share" is my time and enthusiasm about meeting new people.
