ABOUT ME

Currently living and working in Toronto. I'm constantly thinking about where to travel next and how to make the plan feasible.

Book lovers, vegetarians, social workers are my people and are welcome.

Interests

Reading, traveling, oh yes and drinking excessive amounts of tea -all essentials to enjoying life.

Random Toronto activities:

Have a hot chocolate from Soma in the Distillery District. You'll love it. Let me know if you're going and it'll give me an excuse to go too. If it's the summer then try the gelato instead. There's also a location at King and Spadina.

Cycle down to the Leslie Street Spit. Beautiful views of the city by day and night.

Skating! I'm not any good but do enjoy it. Try Nathan Phillips Square or the Harbourfront rink but these are usually very busy. The city has many other public outdoor rinks.

Eat Poutine. I love it. Smoke's Poutinerie has a few locations. Vegetarian poutine is yummy. There's Poutini's House of Poutine and it's the greatest thing ever.

Hang out with the animals at Riverdale Farm.

Catch the Jays game in the summer. Or try watching the Toronto Maple Leafs baseball team at Christie Pits park. The games are free to attend. Sit on the bleachers or bring a blanket to hang out on the hill.

Book Ends. If you need a cheap book for your travels head to the Toronto Reference Library or the North York Central Library. Books Ends is a small shop selling used books for $1.

Park hang outs in Trinity Bellwoods. There a coffee shop across the street -The White Squirrel. It has delicious ice cream. Enjoy some while you wander the park trying to get a sighting of one of the white squirrels.
