About Me

Hi! I’m Kamran, a traveler, writer, and chocolatier with a PhD in Commerce. Life has taken me through intense highs and lows from playing football for Legia Warszawa to battling health struggles and rediscovering myself on a soul-searching journey across the world.

Now, I travel not just to see places, but to feel them to learn from people, their stories, and their silences. I believe strangers can become the best chapters of your life if you let them.

I write poetry, blog about emotions, cultures, and moments that move me. I’m deeply respectful of others’ space and lifestyle, always happy to help in the kitchen, share stories, or just sit in silence with a cup of tea

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in real connections over tourist traps. Couchsurfing, for me, is about sharing life not just a space. Whether hosting or surfing, I love listening to people’s life journeys, cooking a meal together, or just watching the stars from a balcony.

Interests

Writing poetry and travel blogs
• Deep conversations under the stars
• Exploring cultures through food, music, and silence
• Making artisanal chocolate
• Photography — especially raw, emotional moments
• Hiking in nature, walking in unfamiliar streets
• Reading books that change you from the inside
• Helping others heal or just feel heard
• Learning new languages or just a new way to say “hello”

• Meaningful solitude
and meaningful company

Music, Movies, and Books

I connect deeply with music that stirs emotion from Ghazals to Fado, Pashto folk to Polish ballads, Leonard Cohen, Mohit Chauhan, Ali Sethi, and instrumentals that say everything without words. I’ve danced in silence and cried to strings music to me is memory.

love movies that speak to the soul. Into the Wild, The Motorcycle Diaries, Barfi, Call Me by Your Name, The Lunchbox, Cinema Paradiso, and Dead Poets Society films that leave you quietly thinking, or heal

Books raised me. Rumi’s verses taught me patience. Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist gave me courage. I adore Murakami, Khaled Hosseini, Gibran, Camus, and Orhan Pamuk. I also read poetry from Faiz, Darwish, and Neruda. Stories matter more to me than genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived alcoholic hepatitis, left behind a life of pain, and began a journey across the world with just a backpack, a notebook, and a second chance at living healing through people, poetry, and places I’d never imagined.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make real chocolate from scratch it’s a beautiful, delicious process. I can also share basic Pashto or Urdu phrases, storytelling tips, journaling techniques, or how to write poetry that feels like truth.

I want to learn how you see the world your language, your food, your stories. I’m always curious about local traditions, music, philosophies, and ways people find peace. Teach me how you make tea, how you pray, or how you laugh.

I can share deep conversations, long walks, travel tales, quiet companionship, and probably a poem or two written just for that moment. I also love sharing food, cultural insights from South Asia and Eastern Europe, and the kindness I’ve collected from my journey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share heartfelt conversations, my cooking skills (especially if you’re curious about South Asian or Polish comfort food), homemade chocolate, and stories from my journey through healing, heartbreak, and hope.

If you’re into poetry, I’ll happily write you something personal. If you prefer silence, I’ll simply be present, respectful, and helpful around the house. I believe in leaving a place better than I found it with a little more laughter, or at least a clean kitchen!
