I am a 24 year old who enjoys traveling, reading, writing, art, doing yoga, and learning new things. Currently I am traveling in SEA mostly in Thailand, volunteering and exploring.

PHILOSOPHY

I am constantly thinking about different ways to view life and it's concepts as well as different cultural views. I love having conversations that are open, critical, and unguarded -- if only to explore various schools of thought !

WHY CS

I'm on couchsurfing as a way of meeting people and hoping I can find people willing to give me advice about the places they call home. Sharing traveling information, life advice, and culture is the beautiful thing about CS!

CS EXPERIENCE

I've only couchsurfed a couple times so far but it has been GREAT. Sharing cultures and ideas are some of the reasons I travel. Can't wait to continue!!

I love any music that you can dance to. Moving my body to music as a freedom of expression is one of my favorite things.

I don't want much television or movies but my guilty pleasure is romantic comedies and watching Sci Fi with my mom.

My favorite books have recently graduated from physiology text books and peer-reviewed biology articles to a short but growing list: The Awakening, Great Gatsby, East of Eden, It's Kind of a Funny Story, The Unbearable Lightness of Being.. And currently reading The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao (given to me by a fellow traveler and now friend!)

TEACH

What I can teach is something I struggle with... I can be a conversation partner in English or Japanese, I can share what life has taught me... And hopefully more fun things to come!

LEARN

I want to learn about other cultures and traditions and with time -- more languages! I want to learn different philosophies, learn about different ways of life, learn about people's stories and what got them to this point. I want to learn anything that anyone is willing to teach or share -- what is life without a desire to continuously learn and grow.

SHARE

I want to share experiences with new people in new places, share great meals and interesting conversations, share sentiments I was too embarrassed to share before, share ideas about the universe, share knowledge -- there is so much out there to share !
