** update ** I (Katy) will be using Couch surfing on this next trip. I am an artist and illustrator. I'm friendly and like getting to know new environments and the people that live in them.

This year, I'm excited abut attending the Bolongna children's picture book fair! I would love to couch surf with a friendly person who knows the are well and can introduce me to the joys of the city.

*Update* Abe and Katy are now married! Yippeee! And on our way to move to Cape Town where we're hoping to surf a few sofas and meet some good humans.

**UPDATE** Abe and Katy are living in Cape Town and are looking to get to see the city with new eyes and take in travelers who want to see more of the Southern Peninsula. Bring some grub to put in the pot and a bottle and let the conversations unfold.

Katy: I have couch surfed in Nimbin in Australia. It was amaaaaazing. Such a great and eye opening experience! Became part of a tribe and everything.

Abe is reeeeeeeeeeally in to trance amongst other things, science fiction books and is a real filmy fan!
Katy is reeeeeeeeeeeaally into folk music / world music and people who sing beautiful lyrics beautifully, she forgets films she has watched mere moments ago but not the impact they had on her emotionally and books with pictures in.
