About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the most with what you're given.
ABOUT ME
I currently reside in Brooklyn, but if I had my way I'd spend at least 6 months of every year experiencing everything else on the planet.
I'll never be able to see it all, but it's something that continually drives me: the desire to see and do as much as I can before my time is up. I sleep very little as a result.
I'm incredibly diligent and hard working. As a born southerner I'm polite and considerate, sometimes to my own detriment. But as a potential couchsurfer that's a pretty great trait to have. I'll do my dishes... and probably yours as well.
PHILOSOPHY
I think I pretty much covered that already. I'm not down with redundancy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I can't really host as I have a lot of roommates. But as of this spring my boyfriend and I are heading to Norway and Berlin. We'll be at an artists in residency program in Trondheim, Norway for April and May. The we're heading to Berlin for three weeks to check it out.
We'd, of course, like to travel a bit in both places, and would love to meet anyone interested in meeting us.
And when we get back to NYC later this year we'd love to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is my first time using couchsurfing.org. Up until now I've always found my couches and beds via craigslist, AirBnB, friends, or complete strangers on the street.
Once I met a random American dude on a city bus in Wales and ended up spending an awesome weekend with him and about 10 of his friends in a giant house in the Welsh countryside. We jumped on a trampoline and ate giant meals that we cooked together. It was one of those situations where I could have been voluntarily putting myself in danger, but good instincts and good will often put you in the right places rather than the wrong ones.
Interests
Natural places, particularly volcanic ones; lively bars, exciting music (no matter the genre), unorthodox performances, eccentric individuals, people with passion for what they do, movies, the internet, books, foreign languages, traditional textiles, animals, baked goods, coffee, thrift store finds, Sriracha

Music, Movies, and Books
I like pretty much anything that could be termed as "magical realism". the universe is a magnificent place that even Carl Sagan doesn't completely understand. Any art form that reminds us that our eyes are very limited perceptual tools and that our lives are fleeting, small, and yet amazing is A-OK by me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done lots, but I just got done driving across the US in a 30 foot long, 30 year old RV for three months. That was pretty awesome. I strongly recommend Utah, Michigan, and Louisiana.
Teach, Learn, Share
anyone can learn anything these days. and that's amazing. you just have to have the wherewithal to seek it out.
