About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Volevi la bicicletta, adesso pedala ! (You wanted the bicycle. Now, pedal.)

ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded, earthgrounded, balanced guy. I like travelling, exploring new countries, especially by bike, having a close contact to local people outdoor activities.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to respect every human person, the guy who fixes my shoes is as important as a bank director. What goes around comes around. The simpler you live, the happier you are. I don't like excessive consumption, recklessness to nature, crapulence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting local people is the best way to learn more about a country. It makes travelling interesting, people are different and to experience this diversity is great. In lots of countries, I have been invited spontaneously. Through CS, I can experience the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had very positive experiences with Couchsurfers, makes travelling interesting and exciting. Every one was special. I would like to meet people interested in the CS-spirit. If you have to attend a conference, a fair, your goal is to travel ultra-low budget, have to catch an early flight etc. then I might not accept your request. Otherwise you are welcome to write me.

Interests

Travel, cycling, photography, hiking, climbing, cooking, reading a good book, go on a mushroom foray, good food and wine, meeting nice people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer independent cinema all over the world, e.g. Triplettes de Bellevie, Noi Albinoi, or Bal.

World Music, Jazz, Chill-Out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My various bike trips, especially the trip through the Silk Road, Central Asia to the Himalayas and Tibet was unforgettable. Starring as a British soldier in a Nigerian Nollywood-Movie was definetely funny and memorable.

Teach, Learn, Share

It's simple but sometimes hard: treat the others like you want to be treated. If nobody would touch a weapon, there wouldn't be war. Why not forbid worldwide the production of weapons ?
Leave preconceptions behind and try not to believe everything the medias tell us. I try to learn from each person I meet, everyone has something to tell.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Time... if I work I can share time in the evening time, preferably while cooking a meal. If you prefer social medias or Internet instead of sharing time, let me know before hand.
