ABOUT ME
Wherever I go, there I am.
But seriously, it's true. We create our experiences and although traveling to new places can open new worlds, we get out what we make of it. Given that, I hope to meet each new adventure with an open heart and an open mind.
I love teaming up with locals and getting their perspective on life. I love going in through back doors. I want to see life from the ground.
PHILOSOPHY
Live, learn, laugh, love, let go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was uncomfortably hot in the square where hundreds of people milled about on a Saturday afternoon. Tourists, locals, guides, vendors - all busy going to and fro, in a slight state of agitation due to both the extreme heat of the day and the feeling of claustrophobia produced by the crowded venue. Tired and hungry children screamed, irritated tourists barked at old beggar women, and security guards shouted orders at those few people brave enough to step into the forbidden refreshment of the central fountain.
Maybe it was the heat, maybe it was the crowd, or maybe it was the adventurous and mischievous spirit of the young girl that led her to break away from her parents at that moment and run, head-long, to the edge of the bridge. She peered over the side, with her mother shouting furiously at her to come back, and stared, fascinated by the running water. Slowly, she leaned further and further forward until the old, rotten wooden railing broke underneath her and she fell into the rapid water below.
Her mother screamed and ran toward the bridge while onlookers gaped in amazement. They watched the other side of the bridge expectantly, frozen in their horror. Everyone except for the most unlikely of heroes. An old man whistled and his dog raced toward the water. SPLASH! He was in! A few minutes later, he had reached the girl and was pulling her, with her arms wrapped around his neck, to safety. The mother scooped the child up and the onlookers rushed to them, smothering them with concern, congratulations, and cautions (better late than never, right?). Finally breaking free of the throng, the mother looked around for the hero but much to her dismay and, equally, to her surprise, the pair were no where to be found. The man and his friend had vanished, the only trace left being a soaking, yet safe, little girl and a speechless crowd.
