Hi, thank you for visiting my page! My name is Kanna and I am a junior, education major. I was born and brought up in Japan, and I have lived in the US for a year. I love traveling and meeting new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A reason why I'm on Couchsurfing is that I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I am very busy with college staff, part time job, internship, and so many other things. I might not be able to host you even if you asked me, but I hope you understand my situation and capabilities. I honestly think that staying at someone's house for free is amazing, but I would love to contribute to somthing for my hosts when I stay at their house. Cooking, buying some daily supplies, or whatever else, I would like to show my respects to my host. And, I assume you have the same spirit while you stay at my house.

I have also enjoyed meeting up with nice people on this app so far. They were mostly locals, and they showed me around very cool places that you could not imagine to go. I love meeting new cool people and love sharing our stories and broadening my mind. It has been so much fun to hang out with people here.
At the same time, I would say just a few people on this app misunderstand the way to use this app. I have actually got really creepy vibes from some couchsurfers when we hanged out because they asked me to be more than a friend or they tried to take advantage of me. I really appreciate your way of thinking that Couchsurfing is a community to enjoy traveling and meeting new people, not a dating app to find a partner or to have a sexual activity. Please have a respect to me as I do if you would like to meet up with me, and please do not try anything inappropriate on Couchsurfing. Thank you!

I love COUNTRY MUSIC!! My favorite country singers are Brett Young, Florida Georgia Line, and Dan and Shay. I also listen to American pop too. I love movies and books too and I can talk too much about them here, so feel free to ask whatever you’re interested in!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve learned many languages so far, but the language level for each is not proficient.. but I can teach you Japanese and a little bit Spanish! And I’m interested in education area, so I love kids, and I teach and do tutoring with kids for my part time job and volunteering. I have worked with children with disabilities and I love talking with them so much too. I don’t see myself becoming a teacher in school, but I’d love to work for children because they are our treasure:) Anyway, what I wanna say is I love kids!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can contribute to cooking Japanese food, cleaning up, teaching Japanese, or sharing great memories with you. I love cooking not only Japanese, but also Italian or any other kinds. I also enjoy listening to your story, so I hope we’ll have a great time!
