ABOUT ME

I grew up in a little village outside Korbach, Germany. I've always wanted to see more of the world, but still was quite surprised when I somehow ended up working as an au pair in California, after quitting my job as a nurse. Now, after a fair bit of travel in the States and New Zealand, I've got a serious case of the travel bug, and am ready to see a lot more of the world. I've now also become a regular hitch-hiker and, of course, a CouchSurfer :-)

I'm a long-time vegetarian, now a vegan (don't eat eggs or dairy products), and I'm learning how to cook lots of yummy veg foods. I love nature and going hiking and camping.

I've been a member of CS for several months now and have gotten to meet a lot of really great people. I'm looking forward to hosting CSers whenever I settle down in one place for a while :-)

I had a time when I was really into Native American history, and ever since then one of my favorite books has been "Ride the Wind." Another book, "Lady of the Light," was a result of my interest in the history of the ancient Germanic tribes and their fight against Rome. Those are only two of a long list. My favorite authors now include George R.R. Martin, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, etc...
