About Me

I'm Peruvian and I am now doing research in Florida. I like to travel from time to time and meet people from different places and backgrounds.

I used to host in CS when I was living in Nantes. I can't do that now where I'm living in south Florida, but as soon as I'll be able to do it I'll update my profile. Hosting and meeting couchsurfers are among the best experiences in my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The concept seems great and noble. Plus, I believe that traveling and being able to share with people from different cultures and perspectives are two of the most enriching experiences ever.

Interests

I love reading books. They transport me and transform me. Mostly about history, but also novels and poetry from time to time. I very much enjoy listening to music (a variety of genres) and playing percussion. I left many percussion instruments at my mother's in Lima and I miss them a lot! Here I've got a cajon and electronic drums. Oh, and I really dig science.

Dear Zari: Hidden stories from women of Afghanistan (Zarghuna Kargar)

Some songs:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say my PhD thesis because I think it is amazing that I finished it, but it doesn't sound so cool. So... another thing I did was to bathe in a lake with caimans and piranhas. Twice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach some Spanish through conversations. I could also teach basic afro-Peruvian percussion patterns.
I would like to improve my level of Portuguese and of course, my very basic level of Japanese. I'd also like to learn to play other instruments. And learning how to drive wouldn't hurt.
Share? Life. Friendship. Laughs. Beer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Ecuador, England, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
