Overview
About Me
Hello!,
I'm an enthusiastic guy who loves passing time with good people and learning new things. I find my passion in design and art. I'm a practicing architect, storyteller through cinema and photography, and waterman.
I'm a voyager seeking new experiences, new faces, and endless creativity. I love to tell the stories of the people I meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the world is filled with endless amazement and when looking in the right places... amazing people. I am eternally wanderlust, eager for the next great flash of frivolous escapade. I love cultural exchange and new perspectives.
Meeting new people is what drives my passion for traveling.
Growing up in Hawai'i I know the island of Oahu well, and love to share with the right guests. Traveling with locals is always the best experience. The corporate tourism industry in Hawaii has left a detrimental environmental and cultural scare on Hawaii. I believe that it is my responsibility to do what I can to propagate responsible tourism in sharing the nature of the culture that I know and grew up with (rather than to exploit the culture for profits and cheap entertainment.) As well as sharing the coolest and most rad hikes and beaches that aren't over run by tourist.
Interests
I was born a waterman. I love to freedive, spearfish, surf, windsurf, and hike.
I also love to incorporate other hobbies into my time in the ocean. I love underwater photography and documenting ocean sports.
I'm also interested architecture and architectural photography. While traveling I tend to seek out the coolest buildings to enjoy and document. Probably one of my biggest reasons for visiting Europe.
I love quality beers and find alot of amusement in seeking them out.

Music, Movies, and Books
vernacular and cultural music is my favorite when traveling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So hard to choose... staying with the natives while traveling to the Sumatran Islands of Indonesia to document and put together a heart-felt story for a local surf camp in the Mentawai. Such raw culture and great humanitarian work.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always making new friends, sharing stories of the ocean, growing up in the small islands of Hawaii,
Learning of new cultures, new people, telling their stories.
Short documentaries are my favorite, I forever strive to communicate a story perfectly; It's such a struggle and joy when trying to bring an experience to new eyes.
