About Me
Hi:) my name is Kaoutar, I am 19 years old and I am currently taking a gap year , where I am doing a voluntary service in an Indian NGO. This experience made me realize the importance of getting to know things outside of you usual enviornment. It is mindblowing what surprising things çan happen and those experiences definitely outdo the negative ones...and I am totally here for it!!!:D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is dedicated to all the people, who love travelling. So we all share the same passion, which is the thrill of discovering new things wheather it is about nature or cities. But one thing is for sure, even if we focus on different areas of interest, culture is inseparable from either form of travelling. My ambition to travel to other countries to gain a different perspective would be made in vain when I was not about to meet the peolple, who shaped the place and added the uniqueness which turned me so curious to visit it. Despite of the rather obvious reason that locals are like a dictionary in terms of advice, another reason is of quite more importance to me. This platform is a space of generous kindness of which the globalised and increasingly anonyumous modern worĺd seems to lack on.
Interests
I like everything which makes me feel excited about what I am doing, which applies to all things mentioned above. Every conversation is interesting as soon as you share some commen ground. From there onwards one can only evolve his knowlege which is precious in order to form a profound opinion. Travelling always pushes me in this kind of situation. In fact, evrything can amaze me when it is done passionetly and I gladly try out new things. Everything is an expression of human creativity, therefore filled with meaning and as such honorable and worth paying attention to. The point I am trying to make is that I am, as a traveler, espacially keen to dig into whatever crosses my way and my interests are as broad as human creativity is unlimited.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For me an awesome ewperience is not charcterised by a sensational storyline, but by the lesson I learned. That is why the plain situation of me being invited to the house by the housekeepers of my working place in India got stuck in my mind. We couln't communicate properly because of the language barrier and they barely knew me from the few times we saw eachother, but anyway they treated me so kindly, even if it was beyond their means. It sounds klichee but it felt simply so overwhelming to experience such a generosity. I didn't expect it to turn that way. That revived my believe on the positive sides of human nature and that the unpredictable can appear as a real blessing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you German and share everything about the culture I grew up in. It would be very interesting to talk with somebody in a different corner of the world about politics and I can explain social tensions in Germany. We could also exchange our book recommendations I am always hunting for new material. To turn our bellys happy as well we could cook and eventhough I am not an expert I could show you my favourite dishes, if you want.
What I Can Share with Hosts
