"I make art, sometimes I make true art, and sometimes it fills the empty places in my life. Some of them. Not all."

I'm an artist, I like to dabble in a bit of everything. Mostly I draw, though I've also recently taken up modifying dolls (and no, not like Sid from Toy Story,) and I write a bit too. I plan to travel the country next year, maybe stay in a city/state for as long as I've got an interest, and then moving on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in making new friends while traveling and experience new lifestyles.

Sadly at the moment I can't host, since I live in my friends home, though I'd really like to in the future!

Interests

I really enjoy scifi, fantasy, and horror things. I like to read and watch movies in my spare time, though not too many tv shows these days, and I occasionally play video games. I collect action figures, unconventional stuffed animals, and skulls/bones/taxidermy.

TV shows: The Muppet Show, Red Dwarf, Firefly, Futurama

Music: Steam Powered Giraffe, Doctor Steel, Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Led Zepplin, The Birthday Massacre, Of Monsters and Men, I do listen to a little bit of every genre too, not much I don't like

Books: The Little Prince, The Princess Bride, It, 1984, Harry Potter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to go to Japan in 2012 to visit my friend who was living there. Just being so far from home, in a country where I don't speak the language, and (mostly) no one knew me was absolutely amazing. Getting lost in the woods trying to find a shrine around sunset was one of my favourite experiences.

I'm willing to contribute in any way I can to the house during my stay. I can't really cook, but I'll help out! I can also provide interesting company, or at least movie and music suggestions!
