I am an extroverted introvert (I can be outgoing, but God do I love my me time!) with a touch of shyness. I'm finally able to put my long awaited traveling shoes on thanks to a lovely change in my fortune, both literal and figurative. As such, I'm not used to traveling quite yet, please don't mind my nervousness!

I suck at being a tourist. I'd rather wander, lost and aimless around a city than see the standard sites. I've lived in NYC almost five years and literally the only time I went to Time Square was while participating in a protest. Also, I suck at taking pictures. When I see cool things, the last thing on my mind is "let's take a photo!" In conclusion, I don't tourist.

I can be pretty quiet. I can be pretty loud. My laugh is always loud. You have been warned.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet new folks. As a sucky tourist, interacting with locals is an infinitely more meaningful experience to me. Why visit a place if you're not interested in the culture and how it affects the people?
