One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the Ecstasy of St Theresa by Bernini in Rome when I was 16-- its no small feat to make an immature and self-absorbed high schooler pause for a moment and wonder at how mere stone could seem so alive with movement, with emotion.

Tasting black truffle and ricotta cheese ravioli that my cooking class in Abruzzo, Italy had spent the past two days making from scratch-- including the cheese!
