Overview
About Me
I've spent most of my life living in Edmonton, Canada, and am moving to New York to attend NYU grad school in 2015. I grew up in a city in the prairies but I feel most at home in the mountains or in a desert. I have a degree in Biology but have worked mostly in the service industry and in offices, so I'm excited to head back to school. I guess I'm a fan of sarcasm and dry humor but keep the racist or sexist jokes away. And I spend way too much time on the internet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I haven't been able to host yet as I've had unwilling roommates, but look forward to giving back in the future! I love couchsurfing because I do a lot of solo travel and love meeting people along the way. I grew up in a place with little diversity and couchsurfing gives me a chance to actually immerse myself in different cultures, more than I could at a hotel. Everyone I've met so far through this community have turned out to be amazing, inspiring people and my life grows richer the more I use this site.
Interests
Adventures! I love road trips and hiking and going wherever without a set plan. I like to fully take in my surroundings and appreciate the small things. I enjoy spending time with old and new friends and enjoy a good night out once in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie and book is Atonement
As for music, I like that old time rock n roll: anything from Bob Seger to Def Leppard, Elton John to Led Zeppelin, etc. And some newer guilty pleasures but won't admit them on here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a growing album of nude photos from some of my favorite hikes (all backside only of course)
