About Me
ABOUT ME
I consider myself a pretty easy going and open minded person. I recently moved to Seattle and am exploring the city slowly, but surely. I am originally from Juneau, Alaska and have spent the majority of the past two years living in Alaska working in tourism for a whale watching company. I love being outdoors (hiking, biking, kayaking!) and this is the perfect place to do it, rain or shine! Before my return to Alaska I was living in Oregon teaching pre-school and an after school enrichment program. I spent two years prior teaching conversational English in China with the Peace Corps. I have also traveled extensively in Asia, South America and traveled to Europe for the first time last year. I definitely have the travel bug!
PHILOSOPHY
Make the world a better place, no matter how small.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to meet people and have new experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hadn't heard of couch surfing before until I traveled in South America and met so many people who had done it and had great stories to share. In the fall of 2012 my boyfriend and I couch surfed for the first time in Europe and had wonderful experiences! We had so much fun we did it again (longer trip!) in 2013.
Interests
The great outdoors, traveling, music and ART. I studied art in college and am thrilled to come back to Europe for more amazing museums. I am also a big coffee drinker :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I use to spend a good amount of time devoting myself to finding and listening to the latest music that is INDIE! Love me some pitchfork for the "news." But lately I haven't had the time, but I do enjoy music from all genres (for the most part) but my heart and ears belong to the indie genre.
Movies - I enjoy a good laugh and documentary.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I taught 1400 students English in 2 years.
