ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Kara, I am 30 and I am outgoing, fun, sociable and LOVE meeting new people!! I really love this site because it allows me to meet many wonderful and genuine individuals who all come from different parts of the world and bring with them interesting stories, new perspectives and unique cultural and traveling experiences! I have always had such a great experience with people from CS!

I love to snowboard and go to the mountains in the winter time. During the rest of the year I love to be at the beach, lake, or doing anything that involves the combination of the water and the sun! I love all types of music dancing. I enjoy anything from a glass of wine accompanying some Italian music to a beer and BBQ at the pool or beach.

I also really love God. He is amazing and continues to shape me into the person that I am today.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I have actually been a member of CS for 5 years now, however, my sister and I shared an account and I have decided to go out on my own now. Unfortunately, this leaves me to start myself all over here as far as references go and all that. However, you can check our profile out at Melissa California or Melissa
Bernal so you can see my references on there!!!! I have stayed with 3 couchsurfers and I have hosted 4 times! One time I had some Swedish guys come stay with me and I gave up my place and stayed with my parents so they could feel comfortable. I really like to "hook" people up with a nice place. Right now I live in beautiful Maui and a lot of people need a place so I will do my best. I have to respect my roommate as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best experience I ever had was in Italy! My sister and I had contacted a couchsurfer and right away he was so warm and nice. He offered to come pick us up from the airport and that was only the beginning. Then, he let us have his enitre flat to ourselves while he stayed at this parents house, for three days!!! During these three days he took us multiple times to the bus stop and even fed us Italian food as his parents restaurant!! It was an incredible experience and we are so thankful!!
