About Me

Namaste! 🙏 My name is Karan Dewasi, also known as Karan Dewasi on social media.
I’m a YouTuber, journalist, and a cultural storyteller from the village of Baswani, located between Nagaur and Khimsar in Rajasthan, India.
I have studied journalism and use my platform to promote Indian village culture, traditions, and hidden stories of rural life.
I’m quite active and well-known on social media, where I share videos that highlight real India, local people, and traditional ways of living.
I live in a joint family with my parents, siblings, wife, and daughter, and I also work as a farmer and animal caretaker.
I’ve already started my journey of exploring the world — I’ve visited Ethiopia and a few other African countries.
I dream of traveling to all 195 countries and connecting with people from different cultures.
I believe Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to build global friendship through real human connection.
If you stay with me, you won’t just get a place to sleep — you’ll experience the heart of India, its people, its food, and its soul.
Let’s share stories, respect cultures, and make unforgettable memories. 🌍❤️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to meet real people, explore local cultures, and experience the world beyond tourist attractions. As a journalist and YouTuber, I believe every person has a story to tell, and Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to listen, learn, and share.

I want to travel the world not just with a camera, but with a heart open to new friendships, cultural exchanges, and meaningful memories. I also love hosting travelers and giving them a true taste of Indian and Rajasthani hospitality.

For me, Couchsurfing is not just a place to stay — it’s a place to connect.

Interests

I’m passionate about exploring different cultures, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and sharing real stories through my travels. As a journalist and YouTuber from India, I love learning about traditional lifestyles, local food, languages, and heritage.

I’m deeply interested in cultural exchange — whether it’s through staying with locals while I travel or hosting travelers in my hometown. I believe the world is full of beautiful people and stories, and I want to experience and document as many of them as I can.

Music, folk traditions, spirituality, ancient architecture, and human emotions fascinate me. If you enjoy meaningful conversations and discovering the heart of a place, we’ll get along very well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy traditional folk music, especially Rajasthani and Indian classical. I also love exploring world music while I travel.
I don’t read many books, but I enjoy biographies and real-life stories that inspire me.
When it comes to movies, I love documentaries, travel films, and stories that show different cultures and human emotions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done is traveling to rural villages in Rajasthan and Africa, where I lived with local families and experienced their lives up close.
I’ve shared food with strangers, heard stories under open skies, and even tied turbans for people in different cultures.
These real-life moments, full of love and connection, have changed how I see the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you how to shoot videos, edit content, and tell stories like a YouTuber or journalist. I can also share insights about Indian culture, Rajasthani traditions, and our local language. I can even teach you how to tie traditional Rajasthani turbans!

Learn:
I want to learn about different cultures, local ways of living, new languages, and personal life experiences. I'm always curious to understand how people think and live in different parts of the world.

Share:
I can share travel stories from India and Africa, traditional Indian meals (especially Rajasthani), music, and cultural rituals. I love deep conversations, creative ideas, and sharing positive energy wherever I go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my guests a warm and authentic Rajasthani experience.
A comfortable place to stay, homemade traditional Indian meals, and deep conversations about travel, culture, and storytelling.
I can show you around my city, help you explore local places, and even teach you how to tie a traditional Rajasthani turban.
As a content creator, I also love helping others tell their stories through video and media. Most of all, I offer genuine friendship and unforgettable memories.
