Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, this is going to be a long list.

Music: alt-rock (mostly British acts ranging from classics like The Who & Queen to modern stars like Coldplay and Alt-J). I have been closely following the dance scene since before it exploded (I'm kinda hipster like that). I like house more than dubstep, but my favorite genre is a Rudimental-esque mix of pop and electronic. Also super into the early works of A.R. Rehman.

Movies: I love foreign movies which force me to read the subtitles. I feel that its a great way to learn about a culture and probably the next best thing to experiencing the culture firsthand. Some of my favourites include: Oldboy (Korea), Rockstar (India), City of God (Brazil), Y Tu Mama Tambien (Mexico) and L'Auberge Espagnole (Spain/France). Open to watching more and learning more :)

Books: Tend to love the Man Booker prize winners including Life of Pi, Midnight's Children and the White Tiger. Also like reading movies before they turn into movies so that I can compare the two.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've moved halfway around the world to start a new life in America at 18, a country where I knew no one but have now made some of my most lasting connections.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about Indian culture and the restaurants I enjoy.
I would love to learn more about how people live in other countries, especially the tiny things -- number plates, postal service, grocery stores, etc.
I can share a positive attitude and a drink or two.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
