About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel everywhere and anywhere
Love life even when it works against you
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Poland, and got my undergraduate degree in Psychology in the USA, where I stayed for 4 years. After that I moved to Nottingham, England to pursue a Master's degree in Work & Organisational Psychology. After working a few years in a great job, I decided to move to my dream Barcelona (and another great job) and finally live somewhere with a decent climate ;)
I love travelling and I love meeting new people. I have a large number of amazing friends all over the world, and I hope it will keep increasing :)
I should probably also mention that I'm quite crazy (in a good way). Don't ask me to define it, but that's what people say ;) 'Normal' is definitely the last word to describe me with
PHILOSOPHY
I don't know my "final" destination yet, not sure where life will take me next, but I know that what matters to me the most are the people surrounding me.
Having amazing people in my life is the biggest value I can think of, and I cherish every true friendship I have
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
What I really love to get out of CS is to meet new people around the world and make new friends. I usually do not need to be hosted, I rent something on my own/with my travel companions, but I'm very much excited to meet people for drinks, dinner, have someone show me around/show them around my city etc :)
So far I've made a lot of friends attending CS events both locally and in other cities in Europe, and I hope this trend will continue.
I don't have ideal space for hosting people, but we can always sort something out!
Interests
Hiking, books (crime, thrillers), music, travels, planning the next trip, swimming, friends, sightseeing, salsa, languages, food, TV ('Friends', 'The Office (U.S)', 'Big Bang Theory', 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Orange is the New Black', 'The Man in the High Castle', 'Parks and Recreations')
I quote 'Friends' and 'The Office (US)' on daily basis. It confuses me when people don't get the reference. I apologise in advance.
I have a huge curiosity for Latin America region (first trip there in 2017 :)
I've also got a soft spot for Southern Europe. I would move there tomorrow (Spain and Portugal especially) if it wasn't for my job.
If Barcelona was a person, it would be my soulmate.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading crime books and thrillers. My favourite genre is nordic crime.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quite a few, but this is a material for personal face-to-face stories!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you how to swear in 8 languages, but it's probably not what you are looking for ;)
I can teach you how to cook some international dishes (currently obsessed with making sushi) and drink like an Eastern European :)
I'm learning Spanish by myself, and it would be nice to have a native speaker as a teacher :)
When I travel, I like to immerse myself within the culture of the country I'm visiting. I dislike big hotels and travel-agent-organised trips. I avoid surrounding myself with 'touristy' tourists - I much more prefer being surrounded by the locals, and living like them. Whether I travel to your country, or you visit my city, I'd love to get to know your culture :)
