About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving journalism from digital onslaught, discovering beauty. Beauty will save the world.

ABOUT ME

My primary vocation is squarely in technology, but I am also into arts, sing in a choir and design furniture.

PHILOSOPHY

Striking the balance between unfazed rebellion and true humility.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am putting my couch up for anyone. I have hosted a bunch of times, and travelled twice! I prefer hosting for at least two days, and no really late arrivals. (I have stopped doing 1 night stops for people arriving late).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed Italy wit Andrea Guido, a fabouous experience, and visited a genius programmer in Ukraine for a weekend. Had the pleasure to host great people from all over the world, including russian fashion designers, israeli physicists and just plain ordinay people with interesting stories all the same.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : Blues, Todd Terje, Kula Shaker, Beatles + + + Classical : Pergolesi, Schubert, Wagner, Palestrina, Allegri and Grieg.
I'm a choir singer for 12 years, second base. Finally thin I am getting the feel for it.

My favourte writers are Hermann Melville, Fjodor Dostojevsky, Herman Hesse, Agnar Mykle Phillip K. Dick. Lie thoughful science fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The sunrise from the rooftop of a local Bergen museum , that happened to have a far to tempting scaffolding at its walls, far to inviting as to not climb it and spend the night saddled across the rooftop drinking gin with my friends.

White Nights by Fjodor Dostovjesky
Beginning writing a novel, called Glimmersrand. The first seasteading epos. (Unfinished, and likely to remain so).

Second and third day alone in the mountains. Do you become stronger by this solitude or are you falling apart? How can you tell?

The joy when I was invited to the Salone Satellite exhibition

The feeling when I almost gave up going to the Salone Satellite exhibition.

Starting my own business and the ups and downs that go with it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything you would want to throw at me. The inner workings of a Wankel engine? Sure! The possible uses of paper in furniture? Sure! Is true understanding of what love is possible without doubt? <- Struggling to figure this one out.

I can teach you some woodworking and writing good copy. Found an elegant way to unfold Russels Paradox.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll build you a sling. Or a hammock. I'll fix your broken furniture.

I'll bring a gift, and hope to share it with you (wine).

Awesomeness appears spontaneously and can only be experienced in groups.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Maldives, Morocco, Portugal, Qatar, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
