I’m the director of Eco Puppy GT, a street dog geared rescue at Eco Farms GT in San Felipe, 5 min outside of Antigua.

I’ve been traveling for 5 years. I came to Guatemala to work on my Spanish and travel down central and South America, and with the goal of learning Spanish so I could go to veterinary school in Latin America, where it is infinitely cheaper. So I volunteered at Animal Aware and it was horrible - after leaving, I couldn’t live with myself and tried to find a solution - which became the Mayan Dog Rescue - but that didn’t work out (stay away from that project). I was left with 10,000$ worth of vet bills and 15 dogs.

And then Emilio from Eco Farms asked me to run his dog project. So here I am! Working with amazing people helping dogs and cats!

I’m not looking for couch surfing for myself, but for volunteers - we haven’t built housing yet.
