About Me

hi everyone, my name is Karen, I am 19 years old and I live in Stuttgart, Germany. I just graduated from school this summer and I chose to take a gap year where I would love to travel and experience as much as possible.
I love meeting new people and get to know different cultures and lifestyles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As soon as I heard about this whole concept I was curious. Saving some money while getting to know locals, culture and share knowledge all at once- how great is that?! Because I'm still pretty young I wasn't sure though if it's the right thing for me. During my travels however, I got to know quite a few people who had great experience with it, told me many stories and that's what made me want to try it out for myself.

Looking forward to meet many of you guys!

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: good will hunting; street dance
books: buddenbrooks; die Framing Theorie; after the fire
music: all different kinds

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Through my hobby irish dance I had the chance to travel quite a bit and perform infront of quite a few audiences. One of the coolest ones definitely has to be the one in a German soccer arena called 'Schalke' infront of 15000 people.
But honestly it's very hard to narrow it down to one, because during my travels so far I had so many great ones as well, I have great memories with friends and I'm also super excited for many more to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

One thing I love very much is to socialize with different people from all over the world. Everyone has their own story and i feel like you can learn from everyone while listening and sharing opinions. Having the same opinion on something is great, but never underestimate what you can learn from hearing all the different points of views, because every perception is founded in personal experience and knowledge and has its right to be heard.

What I Can Share with Hosts

German culture (great food!!), lots of irish dance if interested, young spirit

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Czech Republic, England, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In
